I believe there has been a move to finally have some work done on that appalling stretch of road between Conondale and Cambroon. Is anything happening Yet? The last time I drove that way to Kenilworth I reckon that dangerous stretch was still the same as when I left the area in 1968. Apart from the obvious danger to vehicles using that road, it must be hampering the tourist potential of the Valley. Kind Regards Errol

Admin reply: There was some minor road widening work about a year ago but we are not aware of any work currently being planned. Efforts are continuing to have the road upgraded.

A public meeting (this is not a Chamber meeting) has been arranged for 27 April 2017, 7.30pm in the Roxy Room at the Kenilworth Historical Museum. This is your chance to hear about progress with issues including public transport, medical services etc. and to raise your own concerns. A light supper will be provided.

Hi Webmaster, I couldn't reply on your guest book page as I don't have an admin password. As of 14/5/2016 I am the secretary of the Gheerulla Hall and Recreation Association Inc.
I would appreciate the opportunity to communicate with you in a less public way to enable me to provide you with the updated detasils as to the current person authorized to post information on your web page by our Association and to obtain an administrations password to ensure that the GH&RA Inc information is updated.
Thanking you, Alana Jager

The details for Kenilworth businesses is way out of date! Very frustrating experience trying to get information

Admin reply: Hello Alana,

Can you tell us which business details are out of date? We obviously rely on the business owners to keep their information current so it might also be helpful to suggest to them that they submit their updates.

We had a similar problem. Arrived early afternoon to find it very crowded and some of the stalls were closing up early. It looks like this event needs to be held at a much bigger venue.

We saw the advertising for the food festival and drove up but it was so busy we couldn't find a park anywhere near. Gave up and drove on when we saw the crowds around the stalls.

The grant application for a security camera system in Elizabeth Street has not been successful. The Chamber will be investigating other funding possibilities.

The Chamber has investigated the possibility of Kenilworth businesses participating in the Commonwealth Seniors and Carers Discount Scheme, with a view to advertising the Town as offering a "discount day".

Unfortunately only two businesses have responded positively to this proposal, making it unviable at present. We hope the idea can be revisited in the future.

Dear all,

Just a little reminder - this Friday we will be planting 400 plants along the Mary River at Charles St Park for Mary River Month.

We would love all of the help that we can get. So if you have an hour or two spare this Friday from 9am, join us for an easy (the holes are even dug!) morning of planting followed by a free sausage sizzle and a good chat and some lovely scenery.

Feel free to pass this onto anybody who you think may be interested.

Please RSVP to me via email or call 5475 7359

I look forward to seeing you there
