Dear all,

Just a little reminder - this Friday we will be planting 400 plants along the Mary River at Charles St Park for Mary River Month.

We would love all of the help that we can get. So if you have an hour or two spare this Friday from 9am, join us for an easy (the holes are even dug!) morning of planting followed by a free sausage sizzle and a good chat and some lovely scenery.

Feel free to pass this onto anybody who you think may be interested.

Please RSVP to me via email or call 5475 7359

I look forward to seeing you there

I, and many others are extremely disappointed that the Sunshine Coast Council has discontinued our Flexilink public transport service from Kenilworth to Mapleton from 1 August 2015.
Apart from a letter in July to some residents notifying of the discontinuation, there has been NO public consultation whatsoever about this.
Surely the people who have used this extremely valuable service over the past 5 years deserve better than that. Even our Councillor, Greg Rogerson wasn't consulted before the decision was made, and this has upset a lot of people in our tiny community.
Please Sunshine Coast Council, organise a public meeting to let people know full details of your decision.

I see there is a lot of work being done at the river driving in wooden piles. Is it known whether and when there will be public access again?

Admin reply: UPDATE July 4 - The earthworks are now complete. Seeding will be started by 6 July and jute covering will then be installed. Tree planting is planned to begin on 25 July as will resumption of water supply from the town well.

Suggest you let the world know that the Kenilworth Hall now has a lift! Us older folks were Very grateful that there was a lift for the quilt show. I am only sorry that we did not know before, as some of my older froends did not go this year.
